The Everest & Caulfield Cup Previews 🗻

This weekend has to be one of the biggest race days around the country for the inaugural Everest and Caulfield Cup Days in Sydney & Melbourne. It is D-day for some of these quality horses and I cannot wait to see how some of these races pan out.

As we return to Caulfield, it is important to remember the optimal strategy is to target horses that start from wide barriers (8+) and settle forward. The next best combination is horses from the same gates that settle in midfield.

Whereas, at Randwick, the best Barrier vs. Historical Run Style combination is horses that settle back from an inside barrier. This profile has historically outperformed the market by 18% on a large sample.

So keep these in mind when following our picks or choosing your own horses in each race.

I’m hoping to return to the winners stall like we did last week with 5 winners and finishing +4.4 profited units for the day. Remembering we are currently only having 1 unit per 1 race selection since we started providing data-driven tips this year.

Next year, we will change the system slightly and record more units for different selections that have added confidence and continue to grow our profitable units throughout the year!
